NOVEMBER MUSINGS

Seasonal stories and notable happenings from the team behind Ochre Botanical Studios.

Thank you for joining us here!

“I’ll do that in November” I said to most things I was putting off in the last few months. “I have a quiet November ahead, there will be plenty of time…”

Well, here we are on the last day of the month. A month which flew by in a flurry of activity. While weddings slowed down they certainly haven’t stopped.

I’ll pop a few pictures below of my large one from the 1st of the month at Greyfriars Hall / Virgin Hotel in the centre of Edinburgh. The prep and planning for this one was ongoing for months; like a lot of weddings to be fair, but I had many a problem to solve and lots of trial and error with mechanics for ‘trees’ that were to be on the table.

In addition to our wedding diary keeping us occupied, thoughts also had to look ahead to Winter. More specifically our Winter shop, our offerings for wreaths and garlands and décor for the home. We have a few businesses that also choose us for décor. The gorgeous Edinburgh Mercantile are a regular client and you can see Claire and Sophie’s handiwork there this season.

I hope you enjoyed this short and sweet run-down of what we’ve been up to this month. We’re hoping to plant some bulbs next week so they can get all cosy under the soil and ready to produce some gorgeousness for the spring. If we can all keep our fingers and toes crossed that no one will dig them up and eat them this time, though…

We still have availability to make more wreaths and garlands to decorate your home in time for the holidays. We have a rather swanky shop page on our website, or anyone is more than welcome to get in touch directly for guidance/something more bespoke.

Until next time...
