Mother's Day Workshop
Sunday 15th March, 11am – 1pm
My Edinburgh Park // 1 New Park Square
An opportunity to join us for a special Mother’s Day workshop in collaboration with our friends at My Edinburgh Park and Patina. Come along and enjoy the shapes, scents, colours and textures of springtime flowers and create a beautiful spring bowl arrangement to take home.
This hands-on workshop will look at the art of floral design using seasonal blooms and foliage. In line with Ochre’s core values of promoting floristry practice that is responsible, ethical and environmentally conscious, this workshop will focus on creating a bowl arrangement using sustainable techniques. This class will gather together like-minded individuals who enjoy being around flowers, and all levels of experience will be supported.
Charity Workshops & Volunteer Garden Days
Every year we run a series of seasonal workshops in Granton Castle Walled Garden (the home of our small cutting garden) to help raise funds for the charity organisation who maintains this urban oasis. These aren’t ticketed events but rather informal drop-in sessions for people to join us in some seasonal making with flowers from the garden. As the growing year gets into full swing, we would also love some extra hands to help us with some garden tasks such as weeding, clearing and planting, shifting compost etc. If this sounds like your kind of thing, drop us an email.
Donations to the Friends of Granton Castle Walled Garden warmly accepted on the day. We’ll have our trusty donations box and an option for online giving too.
